We left Britain on 13th May. First stop was Le Chateau du Martragny, a beautiful chateau near Bayeux in Normandy. We visited the Bayeux tapestry which was very interesting. We had a ride in a little train around
Baueux. Harry loved the train. We had some amazing hail and rain storms.15.05.08
We went to Port-en=Bessin, one of the huge Normandy beaches that were used for the D-Day landings in June 1944.
This is Le Mont Saint Michel, an amazing abbey built on a 80 metre granite rock in the south of Normandy.
Unfortunately it was not a very good day and we did not see it at it's best, but it was still a wonderful sight.
